Dr. Stephanie Reyes-Tuccio and the Center for Educational Partnership congratulate assistant director, Patricia Anderson, on joining the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO).

Since 1937, WACUBO has offered business officers in the western region opportunities to develop professionally, identify solutions for higher education issues, and share their expertise with their colleagues. WACUBO aims to be the premier provider of professional development and networking for business officers serving higher education.

The DEI Committee is committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment inclusive of all professional and personal identities.

Anderson has been deeply involved in WACUBO since 2018 serving on the Annual Conference Host Committee where she spearheads the WACUBO Service Project (e.g., raising $10K each year in school supplies and basic needs supplies for K-8 students from an underserved school in the conference host city).

For the 2021 WACUBO Annual Conference in May, Anderson secured funding from Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Hal Stern to sponsor institutional registration for over 100 of UCI’s business officers to attend the virtual conference at no cost to the units.

“WACUBO is an amazing organization to be a part of. I am excited to help shape WACUBO’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, to make it front and center a consequential part of our work as business officers and as leaders in higher education,” said Anderson.

CFEP is proud of Anderson’s achievement and is confident she will continue to move the organization forward.
